A young girl I
was when I ran from
my home. A dream
then I had, for the
world was mine to roam.
I ran to the woods
and there I would stay,
sleeping at night,
traveling by day.
I was searching the
world for magic;
I could not resist.
A fantasy I created that
might not really exist,
but still I went on
believing deep within me,
for my Mom always said,
"Don't give up until
you see."
I was walking down a
path when I felt the magic
flow and I directed my
wide eyes to a bush that
seemed to glow.
I felt my legs take me over
to that very bush and I
raised my trembling hands
to part the leaves all
green and lush.
Within was a baby
unicorn with eyes all
bright and true.
Dancing around her were
fairies of the brightest
electric blue.
I found what I was looking
for and now I had to
return home.
I proved you can believe,
for the world's still
free to roam.
